1. First Weekly MSA Meeting (and Free Iftar) > Thursday, Aug. 26th @ 6:30pm> Union 2518A-B
Insha'Allah, we'll be having our FIRST official MSA meeting, along with Free Iftar this THURSDAY at 6:30pm in Union Room 2518A-B (which is in the annex)! Come out to learn more about MSA, meet other members, and break your fast together! Space is limited, so please be on time!

2. Tuesday Free Iftar> Tuesday, Aug. 24th @ 7pm>Union 3209
Before our first meeting, be sure to come out to our first FREE iftar which will be held TUESDAY, Aug. 24th in Union room 3209. Come out for some free food, and to meet other MSA members! Again, space is limited so please be on time!

3.Wednesday Free Iftar> Wednesday, Aug. 25th @ 7pm> Union 3209
We have another FREE iftar on Wed, Aug. 25th @ 7pm in Union Room 3209. Be sure to come out!

4. New Member Meet and Greet > Wednesday, Aug. 25th @ 6:30pm> Union Art Gallery
All new students to UNC are invited to a meet and greet BEFORE our Wednesday Iftar in the Union Art Gallery at 6:30pm. Come out to meet other new students, and learn a little about MSA!

5. First Ramadan Qiyam and FREE Suhoor > Friday, Aug. 27th @ 3:30AM> Hooker Fields (weather permitting; we'll update you if the location changes!)
Come out to Hooker Fields early Friday morning to pray Qiyam with your fellow MSA members! We'll be meeting at 3:30, praying for about an hour, and then breaking for Suhoor (provided by MSA!). Contact Sana Khan or Tamoore Arshad if you need rides to Hooker Fields!

6. Potluck Iftar> Sunday, Aug. 29th @ 7pm> Great Hall
Our first major social event of the year will be this SUNDAY, Aug. 29th at 7pm in the Great Hall! Come out to the Great Hall for a potluck styled iftar with your fellow MSA members. Families are also welcome and encouraged to attend! To sign up for something to bring, please visit here.

7. IAR Qiyam> Saturday, Aug. 28th @ 11pm> Islamic Association of Raleigh
The IAR is hosting a Qiyam program on Saturday night from 11pm-5am. Special guests include Sheikh Abdul Naser Jangda from Al Bayyinah institute and Br. AbdelRahman Murphey from Dallas, Texas. For more info, visit here. For rides, contact Sana Khan or Taufiq Salahuddin.

8. Iftar at the Barakats> Saturday, Aug. 28th @ 7pm> Barakat Household
The Barakat's are hosting their annual iftar at their home in Raleigh on Saturday, Aug. 28th at 7pm. The Iftar is open to all. Please RSVP via the Facebook event. The address for their home is: 5609 Tahoma Court, Raleigh NC.

9.Fast a Thon> Wed, Sept. 8th @ 7pm> Great Hall
Our Annual Fast a Thon will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 8th at 7pm in the Great Hall, Insha'Allah. This year, all proceeds are going towards the Flood Relief in Pakistan.To sign-up or donate, visit here. If you're interested in volunteering, please contact Nawsheen Khan.

10. Triangle MSA Iftar (Firas Sheikh Memorial Iftar)> Friday, Sept. 3rd @ 7pm> NCSU McKimmon Center
Our Annual Triangle MSA Iftar will be held at NC State this year on Friday, Sept. 3rd. Proceeds from the event are going towards a scholarship fund for Al-Iman school in memory of Firas Sheikh, a member of the Raleigh community who passed away a few years ago. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at any MSA event. We will also be providing rides for those who need it- if you need a ride, please RSVP to Tamoore Arshad.

11. Daily Prayer Room > Monday- Friday> 12pm-5> Student Union Room 3209
A Daily Prayer Room will be available every Monday-Friday (beginning Tuesday, Aug. 24th) from 12pm-5pm in Union Room 3209. If the door is ever closed, just visit the front desk and ask them to open it.

8. Jummah Prayer > Fridays at 1:15 p.m. > the Chapel at UNC Hospitals
Jummah Prayer is held every Friday at 1:15 pm, in the Chapel at UNC Hospital.

13. Taraweeh Room> 9-10pm> Union 3203
We will have a Taraweeh room available Monday-Sunday throughout Ramadan in Union Room 3203 (unless otherwise noted). The room is open and available for all to use, Insha'Allah.

1. Mariam Clinic Poster Design Contest > Deadline: Aug. 27th
The Mariam Clinic is a volunteer, free clinic in Raleigh, NC. They are looking for creative and talented individuals to create a poster design to be displayed at Eid prayers. The best design will receive $25. Posters must be in powerpoint format (with three rectangular spaces for photos to be added later). Please email all designs to khanv6@yahoo.com

2. Refugee Health Initiative
Arabic speakers are needed to work with Iraqi refugee families on the MEMO home visit program. Please contact Dan White or Suzanne Barakat for more information.

3. Med Deli Pakistani Flood Relief Fundraiser
On Tuesday, August 31st, Med Deli will be hosting a fundraiser for the victims of the Pakistani flood. All proceeds from that day will be donated to the cause. Be sure to take a trip there! Also, if you're interested in volunteering at the event, please contact Tehseen Thaver.

4. Quran/Islamic Studies Teacher Needed
There is a request for an Islamic and Quranic studies teacher to teach two boys, ages 6 and 15. The position will be paid. Please contact Rayana Adams @ 919-274-2238 for more information.
