Rides to Eid Prayer will be given from Duke University at 7:45am. There is no bus that leaves Chapel Hill before then, so those interested will need to find another ride to Duke in the morning. Duke is also hosting an Eid Brunch at Meditrra Grill from 10am-12pm on Friday. You must RSVP to Br. Abdullah Antelpli at a.antepli@duke.edu. to attend! Eid Mubarak!!

1. Fast a Thon> Our annual Fast a Thon is this WEDNESDAY, Sept. 8th in the Great Hall at 7pm. To volunteer, please contact Nawsheen (nakhan@email.unc.edu) and remember to sign up and pledge at http://uncsangam.org/web/fastathon2010/. All proceeds are going to the Pakistani Flood Relief efforts!

2. Taraweeh Room> 9-10pm> Union 3203
We will be having Taraweeh prayer on Tuesday and Wednesday in Union Rm 3203 at 9 pm.

3. Dua's for Ramadan> See attachment.
Attached are the Ramadan Dua's discussed at Taraweeh last week. Please use the last few days to put them into action!

4. Daily Prayer Room > Monday- Friday> 12pm-5> Student Union Room 3205
A Daily Prayer Room will be available every Monday-Friday (beginning Tuesday, Aug. 24th) from 12pm-5pm in Union Room 3205. If the door is ever closed, just visit the front desk and ask them to open it.

5. Jummah Prayer > Fridays at 1:15 p.m. > the Chapel at UNC Hospitals
Jummah Prayer is held every Friday at 1:15 pm, in the Chapel at UNC Hospital.

6. Eid Rides/Brunch at Duke > RSPV for rides to Eid prayer in Raleigh and brunch at Duke!
UNC students are invited to ride with Duke to Eid prayer in Raleigh. In order to take the Duke bus to Raleigh, take the 7:00 am Robertson to Duke, the bus will be leaving bright and early directly from that bus stop! There will be room for 50 UNC students. UNC students are also invited to a 10 am brunch at Duke following Eid Prayer, and a Eid Party at 5 pm.

2. Al Maghrib Program
There's a new seminar on the shamil of our beloved prophet Muhammad SAW that will be offered at the University of Maryland on September 24-26. We will leave after Fajr on Sept 25th and return Sunday Sept 26th at 12pm. The cost will be $85 for the seminar and about $20-30 for lodging. 3. UNC's Arab Student Association
Are you interested in Arab culture or wanting to learn more about the Middle East? Join UNC's Arab Student Association (ASO) where you can get to know other Arabs at UNC and enjoy Arab events on campus. ASO's purpose is to give the UNC community exposure to Arabic culture and traditions, and to provide a voice for Arabic students and students of Arabic descent on campus. ASO holds events such as film screenings, sheesha nights, bowling, ice-skating, dances, potluck dinners, and more.
